Creative and Talented Chloe

Creative and Talented Chloe

We are so excited to introduce you all to the creative and talented Chloe! Chloe works in our ABA therapy department at our Southlake PediaPlex.

About Chloe

Chloe is from Keller, Texas and went to school at Texas Woman’s University where she graduated with her degree in Child Development. A few fun facts about Chloe are that she is the first generation in her family to be born in the United States and she speaks two other languages: Lao and Thai. When Chloe isn’t at PediaPlex, you can find her spending time with her family playing board games. “We are a competitive bunch that makes it more exciting!” She also loves to read, hike, and go on adventures.

Chloe chose to study Child Development in college because she always knew she wanted to work with children. She chose PediaPlex because she liked the idea of working one-on-one with children in ABA therapy. “It gives the children the high-quality interaction and, as a therapist, you get to see their growth and help bring out their strengths.” Chloe also likes having the ability to collaborate with the other therapies we offer at PediaPlex; speech, feeding, and occupational therapy.

“Being a part of a team helps not only the children, but also gives me the opportunity to become a better therapist!”

PediaPlex Life

Chloe has worked at PediaPlex coming up on a year now in our ABA therapy department. She is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) mentor as well as our lead behavior therapist for academics and creative learning. As an RBT mentor Chloe assists with training our new PediaPlex therapists to acquire and apply new skills and techniques. In her role as the academic and creative learning lead, she develops  fun activities every week! This helps our therapists and clients have new unique learning opportunities each week- which they love!

PediaPlex Life

A typical day for Chloe at PediaPlex is spent engaging with the children by singing songs, playing games, crafting and (most importantly) stepping into the client’s world and engaging in their interests! She is a rock star in all areas of her job! From working with the kiddos to planning arts and crafts, she brings so much joy and passion each day! We love her! Chloe’s favorite part about working at PediaPlex is the supportive and learning environment. “Everyone is positive and always willing to help out one another. We learn from each other, but the children teach us a thing or two as well!”

We are so proud of Chole for all of her hard work and dedication as she starts her master program to become a BCBA! Great job!

“Chloe goes above and beyond her job duties to assist in any area needed at PediaPlex and has been instrumental in helping on her own time! With all of her creativity she has really helped with the creation of our new location and so many other projects here! She is amazing!!!” -Sonia K, Owner of PediaPlex

ABA Therapy

In Chloe’s role at PediaPlex as lead behavior therapist for academics and creative learning, she is able to create daily, weekly, and monthly plans for our therapists and clients. In ABA therapy, we focus on school readiness meaning we work to get the children ready to go to school! We do this by creating a typical school environment for the kids where we offer goals targeting literacy and math skills which are all built into their daily ABA schedule. With the help of Chloe, and our other amazing therapists, we have a theme for each week where we tie in these skills. Some ways we do this is by creating snow or Play-Doh as a science experiment, counting the leaves on a four-leaf clover for St. Patrick’s Day or finger painting the American flag for the 4th of July. We love to come up with new and creative ways to teach the children.

Our ABA therapy program works in collaboration with the other therapies we offer at PediaPlex. Our clinics in Dallas/Fort Worth offer ABA therapy, speech therapy, feeding therapy, and occupational therapy. Our collaborative approach to therapy helps to provide the best care and services for your child!
